PriceWatch Privacy Policy

Overview

PriceWatch is a free browser extension that helps you save products, compare prices, and track price history. It has no account, no backend server and no analytics.

What PriceWatch stores

Everything is stored only in your browser, using Chrome's local extension storage:

The developer never receives this data. It is not sold, shared or transferred to anyone.

What PriceWatch reads on web pages

On product pages of supported stores (Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Walmart, Best Buy), and on any other page when you open the PriceWatch popup there, the extension reads the product title, price, currency and image address from the page. This happens inside your browser. When you open the page of a product you saved earlier, PriceWatch records its current price in your local price history.

PriceWatch does not read or store your browsing history, passwords, forms, cookies or any other page content.

Network requests

PriceWatch does not send your data anywhere. However, some things it shows come from the internet:

Permissions

Donations

You can delete all saved data at any time in PriceWatch Settings ("Delete All Saved Products"), or by uninstalling the extension.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The use of information received by PriceWatch adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
